  • DSC01700 - Bergen Norway is first Norway port. Quite warm at 70 degrees..and a clear day which we understood is not typical.

  • DSC01687A Captain of Ship explaining need for repairs before departing Amsterdam. Captain explains repairs to stabilizer and that one working stabilizer is sufficient when it is installed. We were at Amsterdam and unexpected two days which required major alternations in itinerary for ship's destinations. To compensate the Captain took the ship up to the edge of the icefields within 600 miles of the north pole. That was a bonus for the passengers to experience as few cruise ships ever venture that far north.

  • DSC01664 We were cautioned about cyclists as bike - pedestrian collisions happen every day in Amsterdam. Note also a few parked cars but bulk of population uses bicycles or scooters as seen in this image. Another image shows how the people park their downtown bicycles that are used after arrival on train..train station and storage area will be uploaded soom
