Video showing three "hot rod" driving North until East River side ovrpass
Three incidents on I-35:
MAH00839-3 November 24, 2012 3:05 Select compact for best view This is a highlight video illustrating careless driving that we have been able to capture in a video.
This is the first video that illustrates two or more careless drivers who ignored rules of the road. We attempted to correct the misspelling of “Ttruck”, but after the video was saved from Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 we were unable to import the video and edit the rolling title. We are interested in testing ProShow Gold’s ability to edit this rolling title.
The uniqueness of this video is that it illustrates two pickups one behind the other changing lanes on one of the most dangerous sections of South I35 in Austin. As the red pickup passed on right shoulder, the other blue pickup passed in front of the line by entering at the last possible moment through the safety zone. This blue pickup broke into the outside lane resulting i through traffic slowing down in accommodating that pickup driver’s late entry on I-35. Notice the gap in front of our car that blue truck could have properly entered, but the driver preferred to break into the line at the last possible opportunity. The driver used a right exit lane to bypass others on southbound outside lane. This driver is in a "me first" category which highlights drivers who are often responsible for accidents on I-35. Texas Statutes - TRANSPORTATION CODE Texas Statutes - Title 7: VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC Texas Statutes - Subtitle C: RULES OF THE ROAD Texas Statutes - Chapter 545: OPERATION AND MOVEMENT OF VEHICLES Texas Statutes - Subchapter I: MISCELLANEOUS RULES Texas Statutes - Subchapter B: DRIVING ON RIGHT SIDE OF ROADWAY AND PASSING TEX TN. CODE ANN. § 545.058 : Texas Statutes - Section 545.058: DRIVING ON IMPROVED SHOULDER (a) An operator may drive on an improved shoulder to the right of the main traveled portion of a roadway if that operation is necessary and may be done safely, but only: (1) to stop, stand, or park; (2) to accelerate before entering the main traveled lane of traffic; (3) to decelerate before making a right turn; (4) to pass another vehicle that is slowing or stopped on the main traveled portion of the highway, disabled, or preparing to make a left turn; (5) to allow another vehicle traveling faster to pass; (6) as permitted or required by an official traffic-control device; or (7) to avoid a collision. After viewing the video, How would you apply the transportation code citation for the operator of red truck? Did the driver legally pass on the right shoulder when passing the blue pickup entering the outside lane of I-35? .The blue pickup was not on the main travel portion of the highway, but in the right lane exit before crossing the safety zone to enter the main traveled portion of the highway.
